Partner firm profile 01

This page is an unnamed template for partner firm profile 01. No firm appears on Fairview Audit yet. When a partner firm joins and approves its description in writing, the slots below are filled and the page goes live.

Until then it shows what a profile will contain and what to ask a firm about lease charges.

Short description

The short description is two or three sentences in the firm's own words. It says what kind of reviews the firm performs and which businesses it usually works with. Fill it in this way: [CONFIRM: firm name] [CONFIRM: a partner firm supplies and approves this statement]. Fairview does not write claims about results, fees or experience for a firm.

Categories covered

List each cost category the firm will take requests for, linked to its page under Services. [CONFIRM: categories covered by this firm]. Add a category only when the firm approves it. This slot suggests a focus on Lease audit and compliance.

Question focus for this profile

Leases bill many small items over many years: base rent, operating expense shares, tax pass-throughs and escalations. Ask the firm how it checks each charge against the lease text and its amendments.

Ask the firm these questions:

  • Does the firm compare billed rent and expense shares with the lease and every amendment?
  • How does it handle operating expense reconciliations and the supporting records a landlord provides?
  • Does it review options such as early termination or buy-out, and who decides whether to pursue them?
  • Can it abstract a lease into a summary your team can keep?
  • What does it need from you before it starts, such as estoppel certificates or landlord letters?

Avoid any description that promises a refund from a landlord. A landlord may dispute a finding, and the firm should say how it handles that.

What a good answer sounds like

A useful answer names the lease documents the firm reads first and says who on your side must supply them. A weak answer talks only about outcomes.

How to use this page

Treat each question as a prompt for a conversation with the firm, not as a script. The firm should answer in its own words and agree the wording before any answer appears on a live profile. If a firm declines to answer a question, the profile should leave that slot out instead of guessing. You can also ask the same questions of any other firm you speak with, which makes the answers easier to compare.

Size range and territory

State the size of business the firm works with: [CONFIRM: size range]. Fairview has no fixed cut-off between larger and smaller businesses and matches by hand. Then state where the firm works: [CONFIRM: territory]. Say whether that means remote work, set regions or both. Use no figures unless the firm approves them in writing.

How requests reach the firm

A business submits a request on one of three entry paths: larger business, smaller business, or not sure or another need. The request goes to the matched partner firm, or to Fairview for manual matching on the not sure path. The business then talks with the firm directly. Name the firm's channel for new requests here: [CONFIRM: lead delivery channel]. Read more on how it works.

Approvals needed before this page goes live

  • Written approval of the short description and every statement on this page.
  • Written approval of the categories, size range and territory.
  • Written confirmation of the delivery channel and a named contact for requests.
  • No claims about results, fees, experience or history without the firm's approval.

Firms that want a profile can start on the become a partner page. The wider network of partner firms is described on its own page.
